Dr. Narinder Atwal is the owner and lead veterinarian at Furry Friends Small Animal Hospital in Niagara Falls, NY. With over 18 years of small animal practice experience in the Western New York area, she brings deep clinical expertise and a genuine love for the dogs and cats in her care.

Dr. Atwal earned her veterinary degree in 2003 from Punjab Agricultural University in India, one of the country's premier agricultural and veterinary institutions. She went on to complete the Veterinary Skills Training and Enhancement Program (V-STEP) at the Ontario

Veterinary College, University of Guelph in Canada. She has been practicing small animal medicine in Amherst NY ever since.

Her clinical interests include preventive care, soft tissue surgeries, dental prophies and canine rehabilitation — she is currently pursuing her Certified Canine Rehabilitation

Practitioner credential, from CRI Missouri with plans to expand rehab and fitness services for dogs in the Niagara region.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Atwal loves spending time with her daughter, including visits to local hobby farms in the area. She is an avid gardener and a passionate supporter of animal rescue — she volunteers with rescue organizations and shares her home with three rescue

finches (originally two, until the pair surprised her with a baby) and a beloved 7-year-old
